Third Phase of Rice Food Assistance Officially Launched
Perum Bulog together with Commission IV of the DPR RI officially launched the distribution of Stage III Rice Food Assistance for the October, November, and December 2026 allocation. The launch was held at the Potorono Village Hall, Banguntapan District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, on Tuesday (20/10/2026), with the approval of President Prabowo Subianto. Approximately 33.2 million Food Assistance Beneficiaries (PBP) across Indonesia are the targets of this program.
Each recipient receives 10 kilograms of rice per month, or a total of 30 kilograms over three months of distribution. The program is one of the instruments for protecting people's purchasing power amid household needs that continue to depend on the stability of staple food prices.

33.2 Million Recipients, Each to Receive 30 Kg of Rice
The launch in Bantul was attended by House Commission IV Chairwoman Siti Hediati Soeharto (Titiek Soeharto) and Perum Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani. "The continuation of food assistance through the end of the year is a form of President Prabowo Subianto's attention to public welfare," Titiek said.
Rizal emphasized that Bulog is ready to carry out the government's assignment by optimizing stocks, its warehousing network, and distribution across Indonesia. "Food assistance will resume for the October, November, and December 2026 allocations," he said.
Specifically for the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the aid allocation reaches 522,956 PBP or 15,688,680 kilograms of rice. Bantul Regency covers 138,702 PBP with a total of 4,161,060 kilograms, while Potorono Village accounts for 716 PBP with 21,480 kilograms. Distribution in DIY reaches four regencies, namely Bantul, Sleman, Kulon Progo, and Gunungkidul.
How to Check Food Assistance Recipient Status
The surge in searches for "cek bansos ktp" on Google Trends Indonesia shows that many citizens want to verify their membership status. The Ministry of Social Affairs provides the official page cekbansos.kemensos.go.id: fill in the domicile area from province down to village or kelurahan, enter the beneficiary's name as per KTP, type the 16-digit NIK, then fill in the captcha code.
Besides the website, checks can be carried out through the Cek Bansos application downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store by registering with a NIK and family card number. The public is urged to use only official channels and to be wary of fake links that request personal data or verification codes.
Distribution Backed by Government Rice Reserves
The third phase of distribution is supported by the Government Rice Reserve (CBP) managed by Bulog. Bulog is strengthening coordination with the central government, regional governments, and relevant parties to ensure that assistance is delivered to eligible recipients in the correct quantity and quality in accordance with regulations.
Rizal emphasized the distribution principles upheld by Bulog: aid must reach people in need with good quality, in the right quantity, and at the right time. With a target of 33.2 million beneficiaries spread across various regions, accurate beneficiary data and quality oversight are key to the program's success through December 2026.
